What you’ll be doing:

  • Focus on achieving a profitability and top line plan by working alongside our experienced Underwriters to deliver financial results
  • Provide administration support within your team whilst learning how to underwrite Financial Lines Schemes & Delegated Authority business profitably and accurately
  • ‘Solve Together’ by building excellent external and internal relationships at all levels, establishing trusted partnerships to support execution on the SDA strategy both over the phone and face to face.
  • ‘Act for the Customer’ through the achievement and demonstration of full compliance with regulatory requirements, conduct and underwriting governance frameworks
  • ‘Get Clear and Own It’ to consistently deliver a first-class service to all stakeholders
  • Take ownership of your own personal development by being curious, networking and seeking opportunities for growth, to enhance your skills and capability. With progression towards relevant Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications.

About you

What we’re looking for:

  • Willingness to pursue Cert CII and further Chartered Insured Institute Qualifications

  • Pragmatic and confident decision maker who is seeking development, with a desire to understand commercial insurance market and processes, including legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail orientated, good analytical and numerical reasoning skills with ability to manipulate and interpret data
  • Able to absorb and practically apply technical knowledge
  • Professional, confident and able to adapt quickly, as you’ll be dealing with different people, including customers and insurance professionals

Entry Requirements:Whatever your circumstances, we want to hear from you. We ask for a minimum entry requirement of A level or equivalent in numerical subjects (Maths, Science, Economics, Business, Accounting etc).

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim yea
