What will you be doing?
Your responsibilities will vary based on the specific HR position you’re hired into, but may include:
- Acting as the initial point of contact for HR-related inquiries, offering informative guidance or escalating issues to the appropriate specialist when needed.
- Providing advice to employees and managers on our HR policies, processes, and systems.
- Accurately administering all changes relating to the employee lifecycle within our HR system.
- Producing clear and effective written communications, including letters, presentations, and notes.
- Providing administrative support on a range of exciting HR projects.
- Working closely with team members to ensure that IRIS is a Great Place to Work.
- Developing strong working relationships with employees and managers throughout IRIS.
What are we looking for?
This role is ideal for candidates with the following skills and experiences:
- Apprenticeship, undergraduate degree, or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Experience in an office environment or administrative position (desirable but not required).
In addition to the core skills/experience above, the following competencies are essential for success in this position:
- Proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with stakeholders at all levels
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, including handling confidential information
