Job Summary
Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Logistics Coordinator located in Kendal, Castle Mills, England.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator role will be part of an excellent design team, whose members are strong communicators, ambitious & innovative.
What a typical day looks like:
- Liaising with Production and Project Managers to determine collection and delivery days
- Booking correct size and type of vehicle with external hauliers for deliveries and creating relevant delivery notes
- Liaising with the other Logistics Coordinators to maximise use of own vehicles
- Utilising internal IT to maximise loads
- Liaising with the 3PL external warehouse regarding storage of finished products
- Maintaining accurate Finished Goods location records
- Expediting Proof of Deliveries and maintaining accurate records
- Completing tasks as directed by the Line Manager
- The employee will carry out any other tasks as necessary or as requested by managers
- The company operates a flexible working environment with a multi-skilled workforce
- The company requires the employee to continue development towards lean manufacturing
- The employee may be required to carry out deliveries and / or attend site works
- The employee may be required to assist with client witness testing
- The employee will assist others to maintain a clean and safe working area
- The company will ensure the employee receives appropriate training
- The employee is responsible to their team leade
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentational skills
- Ability to travel to site locations when requested
- Previous exposure to or experience with logistics sector would be preferable
