If you have an interest in a catering career with Fife Council, why not join one of our many teams of Catering Assistants within West Fife . We currently have a permanent vacancy to join our team of Commercial Caterers at Café Carnegie, Carnegie Leisure Centre, Dunfermline. Post available is:
12 hours per week working on a Saturday & Sunday – this post requires working every second weekend on a 52-week contract. Enhanced rates are paid for these hours. Working times to be discussed at interview.
You will earn a competitive salary of £23,783.40 pro rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:
- We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.67 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
- Pay is every 4 weeks.

This work is about providing customer service, in a busy café environment. Ensuring visitors to the Leisure Centre are catered for accordingly – this involves preparing and serving simple meals, snacks and beverages to clients and recording any payments. All on the job training is given – as well as working towards a Food Hygiene Certificate qualification.
The Person
No specific qualification is required for this post as full training will be given.
Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.
You will be required to attend a full days Induction Training before starting in post.
