We are looking for an Operations Team Leader to join our flagship M&S site in Bradford. You’ll be responsible for delivering operational excellence in efficiency, quality and cost for your area and team, through the development of people, processes, facilities and deployment of best practices.

This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working a two-week rotating shift pattern of 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00, Tuesday to Saturday.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £24,000 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• You’ll lead a large team of colleagues; developing, leading and motivating your people to achieve challenging operational KPI’s
• Lead the team on health & safety, showing good working practices, as you’ll be responsible for keeping all our operational processes fully compliant whilst keeping your people safe
• Work with a view of continuous improvement in everything you do, promoting positive change and training more junior operatives to help close any skills gaps
• You’ll actively manage your available resource, and utilise staff where possible

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• You’ll need strong people management skills – ideally from a logistics or operational background
• The confidence to challenge the norm and share best practice throughout our team at site
• Strong communication skills to develop the relationships with your team and other managers along with suppliers
• The ability to investigate and report findings, engaging with all levels within the site
