Chief Operations Office
Inmarsat’s Chief Operations Office (COO) plays a vital role managing the services that keep our business running and delivering to our customers. COO consists of 9 functions including: Satellite Operations, Network Operations, Service Assurance, Service Delivery Aviation and Customer Assurance, Service Delivery and Supply Chain, Project Management Office, Global Cyber Security and Group IT
The individual will support coordination of technical project activities related to enhancing our Cloud Platforms. The role will help ensure project delivery within the team is well-organized and runs smoothly. This will include communication across organisational boundaries and helping ensure alignment.
The responsibilities included in this engagement are
- Use a hybrid of agile and waterfall processes to coordinate infrastructure project tasks including development of backlogs, scope, delivery plans, and management of inflight tasks
- Work with SMEs to help break down workstreams into epics and tasks
- Scheduling meetings with stakeholders and team resources through the lifecycle of the projects
- Assisting with resource scheduling and sprint planning so that product owners, project managers and team members have what they need to complete their tasks
The candidate will need skills in
- Experience of applying agile and waterfall methodologies
- Experience of working within/alongside IT Infrastructure teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tooling
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience of Jira
