This is a fantastic opportunity to join Quilter’s Brand team, a welcoming, friendly, and professional team of individuals that acts as an in-house marketing agency and supports Quilter’s marketing campaigns, communications, and wider Quilter work, such as projects. We add value by providing best-in-class creative, content, and digital marketing services to reach and engage with our target audiences – financial advisers and consumers. Reporting to the Content and Engagement Manager, you’ll work closely with our lead copywriter and with people from across the business to write engaging and compliant content for both digital and non-digital media, with a specific emphasis on Consumer Duty.

We are looking for a copywriting enthusiast with excellent writing skills who can create new, compelling, and engaging client and adviser facing materials to explain and promote our propositions and refresh materials for our existing offerings.
The particular focus of this role is to help us prepare for a new regulatory initiative called Consumer Duty. This will involve working with subject matter experts to create support material for financial advisers, to help them prepare for Consumer Duty. You will also be reviewing and refining our customer facing communications to ensure they are easy to understand and help customers make good financial decisions.
You’ll be self-motivated, a great team player and comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines. Your ability to prioritise, with support from your manager, and where needed act with a sense of urgency will be vital for this role.
You’ll ensure content is appropriate for the audience, considering what their level of understanding is, what the challenges are, and how to communicate the key messages. You’ll do this by translating technical content drafts into clear and engaging content, suitable for the intended audience.
You’ll be able to adapt to Quilter’s tone of voice easily, and with support from the lead copywriter you’ll apply relevant behavioural science techniques to ensure content is as engaging as possible and delivers the required outcomes. We are currently working with a leading behavioural science consultancy to create a Customer Comms Toolkit, and you will be trained on how this can help you in your role.
You’ll understand the differences between different content media, and can tailor content appropriately – across media such as website, brochureware and email.

You have a passion for copywriting and understand the importance of targeting the right audience with the right content.
You possess excellent writing skills and can adapt easily to requirements around brand and tone of voice. You feel comfortable creating content from scratch but also reviewing and enhancing other people’s work.
You have excellent attention to detail and are comfortable creating content that meet financial services regulations, as you will be creating content that needs to be accurate and compliant.
You find it easy to convert complex subjects and themes into simple and engaging content – simplicity and clear messaging/calls to actions are things that will help Quilter positively influence adviser and customer behaviour.
You’re a strong collaborator who wants to proactively support other members of the team and wider stakeholders.
You excel at planning, prioritising, and meeting deadlines, as much of our work is deadline driven and you’ll be managing multiple activities at once, with various lead times.
You are a confident and clear communicator with strong influencing skills as you will engage a variety of stakeholders, establish, and nurture key relationships, and need to balance different priorities.
You have an inquisitive mindset and can think creatively to help our content stand out from the crowd whilst adhering to our brand guidelines and compliance rules.
A knowledge of Financial Services is beneficial in this role, as you’ll need to interact with and interpret the views of a range of subject matter experts.
You’ll need to ensure any customer-facing content is engaging and simple enough to aid customer understanding. Some knowledge of the Consumer Duty is welcome, however will we be able to quickly bring you up to speed and our Customer Comms Toolkit will be provide important guidance on what this means for Quilter communications.
Some behavioural science knowledge is preferable, although not essential, as training will be given. Your role is to influence behaviour in a positive way – being or wanting to become a behavioural science champion is important.
