Job Description
The role
Reporting to the HR Services Team Leader, the HR Assistant will be responsible for onboarding/offboarding employees, processing UK payroll, international employment related administration and supporting the HR Services Team Leader in responding to any Group HR queries. With the opportunity to get involved in Group-wide HR projects.
This role is ultimately responsible for a wide range and diverse complexity of administration processes and therefore will suit a highly organised individual with great attention to detail.
Accountabilities:
This person will be accountable for:
HR administration & documentation
- Onboarding new joiners – creating and issuing required documentation.
- Employment screening.
- Compiling and maintaining employee records including holiday and sickness leave.
- Issuing documents related to employment changes.
- Co-ordinating management-employee communications.
- Supporting internal and external enquiries related to the HR department.
- Offboarding employees – closing accounts, issuing required documents.
- Supporting internal and external enquiries related to the HR department.
- Effective management of HRIS
Payroll
- Processing monthly payroll requests.
- Liaising with the external payroll provider.
- Managing the external payroll system – uploading and downloading documents.
- Responding to payroll-related queries from line managers and employees.
- Implementing changes to the payroll process when required to ensure that the process meets statutory requirements.
- Ensuring pension requirements are met.
Objectives:
- Ensure that HR policies & procedures are respected.
- Producing payroll timely and accurately.
- Ensure all personnel documentation is kept up to date.
- Maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Technical expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Hands on experience with a HRIS
Knowledge & qualifications:
- Working knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
- Knowledge of up-to-date UK employment law and HR responsibilities.
- A good understanding of payroll practices
- Attention to detail
