Job description
- Maintenance of the WHQ filing system including PA/destruction of old files, raising new files or parts thereof, filing and cross-referencing correspondence, upkeep of the file index.
- Working with E1 to undertake post and mail duties. Receive and send e-mails and post BADER announcements, as required.
- In conjunction with the E1, maintain and undertake monitoring of CFAV SMS files to ensure they are current and reflective of their role status
- Under the supervision of the E1 support with the administration of CFAV recruitment and promotions and movements.
- Assist with the processing of works service requests, liaising with RFCA contractors in access and completing of works services.
- Provide a ‘front of house’ reception service to visitors. Answer general queries, on Teams telephone, in person and via email.
- Order and maintain stationery and forms, liaising with the appropriate agencies as required, obtaining prior approval of spend from the WExO.
- Work with appointed officers to order badge /Certificate demands from Sqns.
- Assist the WExO with the data cleansing of electronic records.
- Assist the Wexo with the preparation of annual camp documentation and folders.
- Processing of transport requests utilising the Phoenix (White Fleet) database once authorised by the WExO, or E1.
- Processing of Rail Warrants as and when required.
- Any other reasonable tasks commensurate with your grade, as delegated by the WExO or Office Manager to facilitate the efficient running of the office.
- Working closely with the WG Flying Officer in Issuing of gliding applications and maintaining database.

Essential skills:
- Understanding and operating Microsoft 365 and use a variety of software packages, such as Teams.
- To be able to use content management systems to maintain and update Wing Bader site.
- To be able to work in a small team at times independently.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- To be able to complete multi tasks within short periods of time.
- Ability to work with detail.
- Adaptable to change.

As a result of the changes to the UK immigration rules which came in to effect on 1 January 2021, the Ministry of Defence will only offer sponsorship for a skilled worker visa under the points based system, where a role has been deemed to be business critical. The role currently being advertised has not been assessed as business critical and is therefore NOT open to applications from those who will require sponsorship under the points based system.
