We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and proactive *male colleague with clear communication skills and a great sense of humour to join our teams in Coatbridge and Wishaw as a Peripatetic Support Practitioner on a full time, permanent basis.
It would be great if you have Autism and learning disabilities however this is not a deal breaker as we recruit on values and transferable skills; we’re more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We’ll provide full training and give you all the practical skills you’ll need to build an amazing career within the Health & Social Care sector. We’ll even fund your SVQ/SCQF qualification too!
The Role
As part of our peripatetic team you will work flexibly between our Coatbridge and Wishaw services supporting two gentlemen in their own homes. With a focus on maintaining and promoting independence, you will work in a person-centred way to provide support in all aspects of daily living, including cooking and preparing meals, personal care, administering medication and managing personal finances.
The young gentleman we support in Wishaw has Autism and is a 1 to 1 service with sleepovers, are team are working with him to build his confidence in becoming an active part of his community. So we’ll be looking to you to help him explore new places and try out new hobbies.
Our service in Coatbridge is a 2 to 1 service with some sleepovers supporting an active young gentleman with Autism who loves being out and about daily with a wide range of interests.
For this vacancy we will need you to hold a full manual driving licence with access to a car. We pay a generous 45p per mile.
All we’ll need you to bring is;
- Full UK driving licence
- A caring and compassionate attitude

- Good communication and organisational skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
- Confidence in the use of computers
Shift Patterns
As we’re dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, our services do support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and include public holidays. Sleepovers are 10pm until 8am.
Our sleepover shifts do not form part of your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment of £105 per sleepover.

If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.
*For this position male is an Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
