We are looking for a positive and caring female support worker to join our Supported Living services in Liverpool. The services are based in Tuebrook area. We have various opportunities for someone to join us on a permanent, part time basis on 20 hours per week.
We need someone who is flexible as shifts will cover mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep-in shifts per week. We work on a four week rolling rota, this enables family/work balance.
You will be required to work sleep in shifts 10am-10pm sleep 8am-10am, day shifts varying from 9am-5pm, 10am-3pm, 12pm-6pm and 10am-4pm etc. All shifts will be on a rolling rota basis. These are a active services, requires staff to work occasional evenings to attend theatre shows, cinema etc.

All people we support are very active, access the community on a daily basis and have a positive presence in the local community. You will be required to support with personal care.

People we support in these services have a variety of complex needs including dementia, autism, OCD. These can be mentally challenging on occasions, we are looking for someone who can work under pressure.

You do not need to have experience but it is essential that you share our values. As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us.

What does a Support Worker do?

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.

  • Personal care – helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.
  • Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
  • Excellent communication skills/relationship building – supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community & Social Inclusion- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
