We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic person with great people skills to join our Health and Local Crisis Response service as a Support Worker. This role supports service users who are having tenancy issues and are looking for advice and guidance. If you have a caring, patient, and helpful nature you could make a tangible difference to someone’s life. Not only will a career within Independent Living be rewarding, but it can also providing extensive progression opportunities and allow you to build meaningful relationships with both colleagues and service users. A day in the life of a Service Support Worker will involve:
- Providing comprehensive advice, options, and assistance about all aspects of housing legislation, policy and practice to support the service users who approach you.
- Providing practical and emotional support (telephone calls, welfare checks etc) and guidance to service users.
- Providing reactive, focused, and flexible support to adults.
To be a successful Service Support Worker, you’ll:
- Have a good knowledge of services provided by housing associations, local government bodies, NHS and Social Care.
- Have a full UK manual driving licence.
- Be able to make things great. You know how to improve service quality for the benefit of users.
- Be professional. You can deal with queries in a diplomatic and confidential manner.
