A global manufacturer of specialist packaging who specialise in the design and manufacture of precision injection moulds, from single to ultra-high-cavitation moulds across many industries, is seeking a Toolmaker to join their production facility.

Undergoing a significant transformation with millions of pounds of investment, they offer Class 7 cleanroom injection moulding, injection blow moulding and assembly.

Working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. T his is a day shift role with an early finish on Fridays.

As a Toolmaker, your duties will include –

• Supporting new tooling projects coming into the business
• Building robust injection moulds that guarantee ultra-precision and repeatability, from single-cavity bridge moulds for pre-production launch through ultra-high-cavitation tooling with up to 192 cavities
• Preventive maintenance, modifications and day to day servicing and repairs of tooling
• Handling large-scale programs, including ultra-high cavitation and multi-component applications
• Use of high-speed/multi-axis CNC mills and automation for maximum accuracy and speed

To be successful in the role of Toolmaker, the ideal candidate will –

• Be a time served / apprentice trained Toolmaker
• Have a strong background as an injection mould Toolmaker or Tooling Engineer
• Be conversant with a range of modern high-speed CNC and EDM machine tools
• Ideally have knowledge of IQ, OQ and PQ validations for Class 7 and 8 cleanrooms
