What is the purpose of the role?
The Rent Officer role provides advice and support to customers regarding their rent accounts and benefits to ensure that the rent on their home is paid. The Rent Officer will actively seek full payment of outstanding balances and negotiate repayment arrangements for those that can not afford to pay in full and take appropriate action for unpaid debts.
Why is the role important?
This role is important because the Rent Officers support customers with debt and ensure all rent is paid. Maximising rent collection ensures that the customer is able to sustain their tenancy and enables the organisation to deliver the best possible service.
