Job Title: Cleaner

Reporting to: Duty Supervisor

MAIN PURPOSE/REASON FOR THE JOB

To clean all areas of the leisure centre and ensure that a high standard of

cleanliness is maintained throughout the building to a satisfactory standard and at

the frequencies laid down.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To brush, sweep, mop, scrub and polish all leisure centre floor areas.

2. To clean changing rooms, toilets and washbasins.

3. To dust and polish furniture fittings and glassware.

4. To wash down walls, doors and painted surfaces.

5. To refill toilet rolls, soap dispensers and hand towels etc.

6. To empty and clean litter bins.

7. To recycle rubbish in the correct bins.

8. To ensure that duties are carried out in accordance with relevant Health &

Safety legislation.

9. To use cleaning equipment and materials in the prescribed manner and

ensure the safe storage and use of cleaning equipment and materials.
