Fully funded Midlands4Cities PhD studentships in Arts & Humanities at University of Nottingham

Midlands4Cities (M4C) Arts and Humanities Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) is an AHRC-funded collaboration between the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, University of Warwick, Coventry University, De Montfort University, University of Leicester, Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham. M4C provides combined research expertise for the professional and personal development of the next generation of arts and humanities doctoral researchers. It delivers excellence in all aspects of research supervision and training and provides access to a wide range of facilities, cohort events and placement opportunities with regional, national and international partners in the cultural, creative and heritage sectors.

For 2023 entry Midlands4Cities Doctoral Training Partnership offers 60 fully funded PhD studentships for eligible students in arts and humanities through an Open Competition.

For eligible students, the opportunity to apply for a Stuart Hall Foundation Fellowship.

 

The deadline for AHRC funding applications is 11 January 2023 – 12.00 hours (UTC+0) applicants must also have applied for a place to study at one of the eight M4C universities.

M4C Apply

Midlands4Cities scholarships include a doctoral stipend equivalent to the Research Councils UK National Minimum Doctoral Stipend, £17,668 (2022/23 rate, 2023/2024 rate to be announced).  All international students are eligible for tuition fees at the UK rate and a stipend to support living costs.   Some of the M4C universities can offer funding towards the international fee rate, check with the university you are applying to for a place to study to find.
