We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced administrator with an interest in ADHD to join our expanding team. With recent service expansion, we are seeking an ADHD Administrator to play a pivotal role in enhancing the patient care pathway.
For the past three years, PHL has been delivering a predominantly virtual ADHD service for adults on the Isle of Wight and young adults in Southampton City. With the recent acquisition of an additional contract, our service is expanding to cover the broader Hampshire & Isle of Wight (HIOW) area. We offer comprehensive ADHD care for adults, including diagnosis, medication management, and transition reviews for young adults.
Administrator Responsibilities: As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing caring, professional, and courteous assistance as the primary point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Managing inbound calls and emails, addressing queries from various stakeholders and directing them to the appropriate team members.
- Handling outgoing calls for appointment scheduling, patient communication, and coordination with external services.
- Performing general administrative tasks such as document management, appointment reminders, referral coordination, and task management.
- Ensuring smooth scheduling and maintenance of clinic appointment books to facilitate a flawless and responsive patient journey.
Administrator Skills & Experience: To excel in this role, you must possess the following:
- Proven ability to use initiative, take responsibility for actions, and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong collaborative skills, working seamlessly within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of integrity in all interactions.
- Empathetic approach when dealing with patients and clinical staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with flexibility in managing conflicting priorities.
- Reliability, honesty, and the ability to effectively prioritise workload.

Hours:
The service runs 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. We are looking to fill a full time position (37.5 hours).
