If you have a desire to help people find the right housing for them, then we would love to hear from you. You will learn about the different teams within Rehousing Services, and you will learn how those teams interact with each other to provide a high quality, continually improving, and customer driven service.
Our aim is to provide and support high quality housing and successful, thriving neighbourhoods, for the people of Sheffield. Our Rehousing Officers are at the very heart of this, and we currently have 4 apprentice positions available.
As an Apprentice Rehousing Officer, you will work towards gaining the knowledge and skills required to perform the role. Full-time apprentices work 37 hours per week across 52 weeks of the year. We pay all Apprentices £7.55 per hour and this increases in year 2 if you are aged 18 or over.
As an Apprentice, you will also receive:
- A generous holiday entitlement.
- Be fully funded to complete a recognised qualification.
- Receive one day off the job per week for study leave at college (during term time)
- Receive hands-on/practical experience in an experienced team environment.
- Have a great peer support network.
- Have the potential to secure a permanent job with us upon successful completion of your Apprenticeship.

The training that we will provide you over the 2-year programme will equip you with the skills, knowledge and experience to undertake the duties detailed in the Job Description. You will be required to work towards an NVQ Level 3 qualification with the expectation to complete a day release in a learning centre, and if applicable, to undertake Maths and English.
