There is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, experienced teachers to join our team in the Therapy Services Department. This team includes Occupational Therapists, support workers, sports & fitness staff and peer support workers. Together we provide a comprehensive range of interventions to meet the therapeutic needs of the adult patient group and promote recovery and well-being.

We are looking for teachers to provide classes in Maths, English, ICT and ESOL across the three care pathways at Arnold Lodge.

Each subject requires one day a week of teaching (approximately 7 hours). You can apply to teach one or any combination of the subjects above. Please state clearly on the application which subjects you want to teach.

These are sessional posts and applicants will be given a Bank contract.

You will liaise with staff within therapy services and the ward to determine effective methods of delivery for small groups of patients and individuals.

You will need to be flexible, organised and demonstrate effective communication skills.

To teach basic and higher level skills (Level 2) in numeracy, literacy and ICT.

To teach patients with additional learning needs such as ADHD and dyslexia.

To conduct assessments – initial, diagnostic, formative and summative.

To prepare Individual Learning plans, lesson plans and schemes of work as required.
