The role

The Open University is recruiting for a Business and Employer Engagement Assistant will be part of the Skills, Partnerships and External Engagement and Partnerships Team.

You will provide professional administrative support for key partnership activities within The Open University in Ireland. These include Government funded initiatives, business development and employer engagement activities. The role holder requires excellent communication and organisational skills combined with a high level of initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail.

Skills and experience

  • 3 A Levels (grade A-C) or evidence of equivalent educational experience
  • Substantial experience working in an administrative role in a busy office environment
  • Proven IT skills in the use of Microsoft Office software. Competence in the use of word-processing, spreadsheets, systems, databases and diary management.
  • Professional manner and experience of collaborating with a range of colleagues
  • Excellent standard of written and verbal communications
  • Experience in minute taking, note making, database management and diary management.
  • Experience of providing administrative support for events and meetings
