Your role and responsibilities

With ongoing growth and success based on outstanding reputation and a commitment to excellence, Wear referrals, part of Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, are looking to recruit a Cardiology Patient Care Assistant to join our ever growing team.

Working for Wear Referrals entails real nursing to a very high standard in our state of the art award winning Veterinary Hospital. We are a multidisciplinary hospital with neurology, Orthopaedic, Soft tissue, Internal medicine, Oncology, Out of Hours, Rehabilitation and Cardiology teams.

We are recruiting specifically for a Cardiology PCA (Patient Care Assistant), to support our cardiology team with their patient care and procedures.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will assist with preparation for day-to-day examinations, diagnostic imaging of cardiology patients as well as supporting with in-patient care and treatment as well. The cardiology team work closely with and are supported overall by the Internal Medicine team, you will also be expected to work alongside the referral team overall to support within other departments.

Training and support is provided by a friendly and supportive team so whilst experience is preferred it is not essential. Further training and development within this role is encouraged and supported.

Excellent social skills are a must, as well as ability to commit to a rolling rota including weekends and bank holidays. You would ideally be well organized and adaptable to an ever changing environment of a Referrals Veterinary Hospital.
