Based at Oakland Village & Community Care Complex in Swadlincote. South Derbyshire District Council’s Careline service provides a response to the community alarms of 1600 residents and emergency out of hours calls for Council tenants, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

A vacancy has arisen within the team of Careline Control Operators and we are looking to recruit an individual who has excellent communication skills, an ability to listen and empathise with vulnerable clients, can remain calm and provide support over the phone in the event of an emergency. The successful post holder will be required to work 8.5 Hour shifts working two morning Shifts (7am – 3:30PM), two evening shifts (3pm – 11:30pm), two nights (11pm – 7:30am). followed by 4 rest days over a 10-week rolling rota. You may be required on occasion to alter your shift or cover other shifts at short notice owing to Illness.
