Based in Verwood at either The Verwood Hub, or Potterne Park Pavilion The Bar and Catering team work to provide a service in the cafes for general public, gym users and other attendees of these venues. Bar and Catering assistant will also work the bar at The Hub events, evening bookings and cinema screenings. A fun, busy and sociable job for successful applicants can get stuck into.
What you can expect to be doing:
As part of the Bar and Catering team you will be working in a close hard working unit within The Verwood Hub and Potterne Park. You will be working to offer a high standard bar and catering service day to day as well as for birthday parties and for the events and cinema programme.
About you:
To become part of the bar and catering team you must be a motivated and confident self-starter. You will be very customer faced, organised with the ability to work well under pressure in a contrasting environments – as a café day to day but also in fast paced and busy events. Your verbal and written communication skills will be excellent as you will need to liaise with both customers as well as with other teams within the Verwood Hub. You will be sharing the load with your other colleagues by working on a shift basis, although mid week the opening hours of the café are between 8am and 6pm the role requires evening and weekend work.
