Job Description
Join our friendly catering team and help deliver an outstanding service to staff and students.
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Catering Assistant to provide high-quality food service across our college sites. You will play a key role in preparing and serving food and drinks, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
Actual Salary: £13,810.92 per annum
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (9:00am – 2:00pm) 25 hours a week
Essential Criteria
- Relevant Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Recent experience in a similar catering role
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work flexibly across sites and as part of a team
- Experience of food preparation, cooking and service
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of food, snacks and drinks within on-site catering facilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene in kitchen and dining areas
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to customers
- Report customer requests and complaints promptly to the Catering Manager
- Work collaboratively with the catering team and support wider Estates and Facilities services
