Job Summary:
The H2O Project encompasses several Social Enterprise Businesses running from The Booth Centre Life house in Southampton. The role of the Catering Support Assistant (General Assistant Catering) will be helping the Cook/Support Worker and volunteers in The Sally Anne’s Café to prepare and serve food, according to food safety standards and customer service standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of Catering Support Assistant is an exciting and evolving post. The successful candidate will assist with the serving of meals and drinks to customers, with a high level of customer service. Keeping the kitchen clean, including washing used utensils, kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors, and walls to ensure cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of working in a catering and business environment
- Experience of working alongside volunteers
- Desire to engage with clients and change lives
Desirable attributes include:
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Safeguarding of Clients and Staff
- Experience of working with vulnerable clients in a supportive setting
