The research farm at Glensaugh, between Auchenblae and Fettercairn, is looking for a regular cleaner to keep the office building to a high standard of cleanliness. Required once a week for 4 hours, day and time to suit the successful candidate during office hours or evening. Duties to include cleaning meeting rooms, offices, kitchen and toilets. Availability to set up and clear up after occasional meetings and other functions an advantage.
This is a permanent position offering an attractive rate of pay and holiday entitlement.
Definition of Role
The post holder will work in a supporting role to the Farm Manager to clean the office and laboratories to a high standard. The post holder will also be required to help set up the office for occasional meetings and events.
Routine cleaning: sweep hallways, boot room and lavatories, mop linoleum floor surface, hoover carpets, dust surfaces and wipe clean window cills, etc. This should be carried out once per week, or more often if required.
Occasional requirements: setting up tea and coffee for meetings, additional cleaning before and after event has taken place.
This is a responsible role which requires the post holder to liaise with the Farm Manager to agree hours of work, and also meet health and safety and security requirements.

- understand hazards and follow instructions for risk assessed jobs
- monitor condition of equipment and report defects
Security
The post holder will be required to lock the office building at the end of their shift if working outside normal business hours.
