Role Overview:
As a Coffee Shop Assistant, you’ll help create a warm, friendly atmosphere where customers can enjoy great food and drink. From preparing orders to keeping the space spotless, you’ll ensure every visit to our coffee shop is memorable for the right reasons. You will also be required to help out in the kitchen, that could be preparing hot food, sandwiches, soups and cakes and jumping in and helping out on the pot wash.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve customers with a smile, ensuring they feel welcome.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, snacks, and light meals to a high standard.
- Prepare hot and cold food to company specifications.
- Assist in the pot wash area.
- Handle payments at the till, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the coffee shop, including tables, counters, and equipment.
- Assist with restocking and organising supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and accommodating requests.
What We’re Looking For:
- A friendly, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for customer service.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, particularly in food preparation and hygiene standards.
- Previous experience in a coffee shop or hospitality setting is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
