This is an opportunity to work for an extremely well-renowned global Airline. My client is looking for talented senior data engineers who are looking to take the step up to a tech lead position. Your role will involve working with modern tech, managing others, and doing some hands-on coding all while working in a fluid environment across a range of teams.

Tech Stack / Experience:

• Python (Essential)
• SQL (Essential)
• CI/CD
• Spark
• Data Bricks
• AWS
• Some prior leadership / mentoring experience
• An understanding of why software best practices must be followed

The Company:

This role involves working with a range of teams at one of the best-known airlines in the UK. Your work will impact the commercial, operations, and corporate functions of the business. They are currently working to move entirely into the AWS environment and roll out Data Bricks. Your role will involve a mix of hands-on coding as well as managing a team of 3-4 senior data engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Leading other engineers, and testing teams, supporting technical architecture and accountability for data design and feature design
• Managing 3/4 senior data engineers
• Getting hands-on and writing code
• Ensuring that best practices are followed
