Working as part of the Cloud and Infrastructure Services team, under general direction and within a clear framework of accountability, the Database Administrator (DBA) enables the delivery and operation of the database technology. This individual will have a diversified background and broad experience of delivering and operating database systems and related infrastructure, with substantial personal responsibility for maintaining the platforms. The role holder will undertake a wide range of complex technical activities in a variety of contexts, planning their own work to meet given objectives. The DBA – Senior Engineer supports the day to day operation, security and delivery of our database services. They will develop and support products and services that are efficient, secure, perform optimally and are aligned to business goals and objectives. The post holder will support the maintenance of configuration data, capacity planning, service availability and continuity for database services.
