Job Description

Digital Champions are students who work alongside the Academic Support Team to help their fellow students develop digital skills and capabilities for uni and beyond.

Digital Champions also work as student mentors to support to new and continuing students in all aspects of their university learning.

Typical duties of a digital champion:

Digital Champions deliver workshops on Microsoft Apps including Teams. For example, they can provide demonstrations of how to conduct group work online, or how to deliver online presentations, drawing on their own experiences as students.

Digital Champions will run online drop-ins and one-to-one appointments as part of the Academic Support Team offer. All sessions will be student led with the aim of providing a role model in digital learning that will help students grow self-confidence.

Other jobs include providing admin and technical support to the Academic Support projects and events such as The Student Conference and GREFest.
