We’re recruiting a Direct Sales Lead Generation Agent to join us in our Leicester or Bournemouth office on a full-time permanent basis. You’ll be an essential member of the team making outbound calls to SME’s to promote our Private Healthcare Cover and explaining how it can benefit their businesses. We’ll help you to build your knowledge of private healthcare insurance products, as well as those of our competitor through a robust induction programme.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. After your initial training period of 4 weeks, you’ll work at least 40% of your week at our Leicester or Bournemouth office.
Working Hours & Shift Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, working 7.5-hour shifts between 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday. No weekends or Bank Holidays!
Induction & Training:
You’ll receive a comprehensive onsite induction from our specialist trainers to set you up for success in your new role. Ongoing support will be given to build your confidence, which may include mentoring support from a Lead Generation Agent who is currently doing the role.
What you’ll be doing:
- Using a call guide, you’ll be answering customer queries, ensuring you’re delivering a market leading service.
- The leads are warm and are received via various digital sources.
- Working with an outbound dialer to source new leads.
- Diarising customer call backs.
- Passing leads directly through to our Sales Consultants, in a timely way and ensuring they’re distributed fairly.
- Adhering to FCA guidelines and Data Protection.
- Building rapport with customers.

- Experience in a customer facing role either in person or on the telephone would be desirable.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
