Part of the turnaround team and is responsible for successful planning, preparation, and execution of turnaround events across multiple client assets.
Work Preparator has the responsibility, accountability, and authority to assemble executable work packages for the event, they will track and monitor work orders generated from Preventive Maintenance (PM) program or from Corrective Maintenance (CM) requests raised in CMMS (SAP).
The tasks include finalizing the scope of work, preparing work instructions and acquire Discipline support, services, material and logistic for effective completion of works.
Work packs shall be done in accordance with the best practices and HSSE standards to sustain and restore the asset’s Technical Integrity and Reliability / Availability
This position is a hybrid role based primarily onshore with required offshore visits
- Ensure all Maintenance activities are prepared to allow a safe and environmentally responsible operation.
- Comply with all client and Wood HSE principles, policies, and procedures.
- Compile turnaround job lists from their designated discipline
- Be accountable for all discipline relevant Field Verification reporting
- Materials assurance and verification.
- Produce job specification work pack and validate
- Apply technical knowledge to determine equipment problems, failure modes and identify appropriate solutions to develop work packs.
- Coordination Project activities and monitor actual progress versus plan.
- Responsible for determining planned man hours & updating estimate man hours fields.
- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of work preparation to allow the accurate measurement of workload status.
- Interface with TAR coordinator to identify pre/post-turnaround activities & turnaround-specific critical activities.
- Define major or critical scopes.
- Where required we will comply with Management of Change Process (e-MOC) and liaise with Technical Authorities (TA2).
- Monitor and coordinate on contractor preparation for the event
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- A detailed understanding of the maintenance workflow process.
- Skilled in using SAP (or other CMMS) to prepare work packages and monitor materials availability.
- In-depth awareness of Performance Standards & Safety Case requirements.
- In depth knowledge and experience in platform operations and maintenance essential
- Valid offshore medical & survival certification required
- Competent in the use of SAP & Business Objects

Qualifications/Training – Essential
- Suitable & relevant Operations, Maintenance and Turnaround experience (and/or)
- HNC or recognised apprenticeship with NVQ level 3
- Time served in a maintenance discipline background.
