As a member of the Employer & Placement Services Team in Career & Employability Services, you will be responsible for employer engagement and delivery of a range of work-based learning activities with targeted businesses with the aim of developing and enhancing the employability of University of Bradford students and graduates.
Working alongside two other Employer & Placement Services Advisers, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing new and existing relationships with local, regional, national and international employers and businesses;
- Seeking and retrieving high quality placement, internship and other work-based learning opportunities and graduate vacancies;
- Promoting the broader employer services offer to employers, including part time work, voluntary work, business projects and graduate employment;
- Working with students and graduates on a one to one or group basis delivering high quality careers information and employability advice to students to support their progression into employment;
- Delivering placement and internship programmes that meet the needs of all stakeholders – students/graduates, employers and the University;
- Proactively working to engage students across the University in participating in work-based learning and employment opportunities.
The post requires someone with significant experience of networking and establishing successful relationships with employers, recruitment partners and/or placement providers. Excellent organisational skills, account management and project management skills are also required. Experience of working with students and/or graduates in a higher education environment is particularly desirable.
Occasional evening or weekend working to deliver business events or student open days for example may be required.
