Temporary Equine Groom Apprentice at KEITS Training Services Ltd
Job Description
A great opportunity to join our busy yard and help look after our horses, general yard duties and horse care management with some opportunities to attend shows.
Duties to include but not limited to;
- Turning out and bringing in
- Mucking out
- Feeding, watering and haying
- Grooming
- Clipping and trimming
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard at all times
- Bandaging
- Tacking up
Desired Skills and Personal Qualities
- Prior experience with horses, must be show on application.
- Good time keeping
- Excellent communication
- Willingness to learn
- Team player
- Initiative
Desired Qualifications
- GCSE’s Grade C/4 or higher in English and Maths are desired but not essential
- Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or higher in horse care.
Future Prospects
- Advanced apprenticeship or employment within the business if the position should arise
Things to Consider
- KEITS Training Services Ltd reserves the right to close the vacancy earlier than the listed closing date should the need arise.
- The apprentice will be working to build a portfolio of evidence and will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship

Training
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 equine groom Apprenticeship
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

Salary: From £5.28 per hour
