Rated ‘Good’ (‘Outstanding’ for Caring) in their most recent CQC report, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT) provides hospital and community-based services across North Yorkshire and Leeds as well as providing children’s services in the North East. What you’ll be responsible for

  • To be responsible for leading and delivering the Healthy Child Programme against the 6 early years high impact areas, ensuring services are provided within the tiered model approach – building community capacity, universal, universal plus and universal partnership plus.
  • To be professionally accountable and responsible and adhere to and apply the NMC standard.
  • Making Every Contact Count to enable the opportunistic delivery of consistent and concise healthy lifestyle information.
  • Work with parents and children to promote the physical, emotional, and social development of pre-school children and beyond. To apply the principles of the Solihull approach in all work undertaken with children, young people, and families.

You’ll have the following qualification/experience:

· A minimum of 6 months paid experience in a similar role within the last 2 years

· Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices

· Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual

· Be able to work under own initiative and without direct supervision

· Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients

· Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies

· Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines

· Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards

*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
