Job Description
If you are an experienced Care Assistant looking to expand your skills and knowledge into complex clinical care or if you already have complex care experience, this could be the perfect job role for you!
Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young girl with complex care needs at her family home in Darlington. Our service user is 9 years old and requires support throughout the day with her complex needs.
Throughout the day you will assist her with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
We are looking for engaging individuals who are happy to assist in her hobbies and interests she loves exploring sensory and messy play activities such as painting, jelly bath, sand, clay, baking, slime and making things.
Home schooling is also part of her routine, and you will be required to support and encourage her learning / education.
She loves to spend quality time with her family and enjoys exploring the outdoors especially during the summertime.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
We are looking for individuals who ideally have complex care experience or Knowledge around complex care, who can act fast and provide crucial support with her complex needs
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months previous care experience
- Medication Administration
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of cerebral palsy
- Seizure Management
- Ventilation Management
- PEG Feeding
We have the following shifts available;
- Part time- 24 hours per week
- Days- 7.45AM- 7.45PM
Please note that training will be provided locally

Weekdays £13.00 per hour Approx. £156 per 12 hour shift
Weekends £13.50 per hour Approx. £162 per 12 hour shift
Bank Holiday £15.50 per hour Approx. £186 per 12 hour shift
