HR Assistant
Full Time / Part Time, Permanent
37.5 hours per week Mon- Fri (Job share options will be considered)
Salary is £22,650 – £25,275 (depending on experience) per annum FTE.

We are a charity in the Middlesbrough area established over 40 years ago, providing specialist palliative and end of life care services in our community. We are looking for a HR assistant to support our HR manager in various HR functions and duties, such as recruitment, payroll, training, employee relations, and compliance.
As a HR assistant, you will:
- Assist with the recruitment process, from posting job ads to screening CVs to scheduling interviews.
- Compile and update employee records and documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process absence and contract changes and resolve any issues or queries.
- Coordinate and facilitate HR projects and events, such as training sessions, surveys etc.
- Respond to employee requests and questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in human resources, business administration, or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- A positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
- A CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
Experience of working in a HR role or a similar administrative role previously is desirable.
