Industrial Warehouse Cleaner

Our continued success and business growth has opened up exciting opportunities for Industrial Warehouse Cleaners to work for Wincanton on behalf of our 3 rd party customer Coca Cola Hellenic located in Lisburn. These roles will appeal to an individual who loves working in a fast-paced team.

Job Purpose:

To maintain housekeeping and quality standards around the internal and external site, in line with Good Warehousing Practice.

3 Week Rotating Shift pattern:

Week 1: 7am to 3pm (Monday to Friday dayshift)

Week 2: 11pm to 7am (Sunday to Thursday nightshift)

Week 3: 3pm to 11pm (Monday to Friday lateshift)

Every fourth week instead of working Thursday (night shift) or Friday (day/late) shift you will work on Saturday dayshift but full flexibility required

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Maintain housekeeping and quality standards around the internal and external site, in line with Good Warehousing Practice.
• Working in and around machinery and MHE where Health and Safety is a priority.
• Operational cleaning of Warehouse High bay including in-feeds, conveyors to out-feeds plus operational cleaning of crane aisles and available channels annually.
• Sweeping and cleaning of Warehouse loading bay and canopy including yard to the Gatehouse.
• Sweeping/Mopping/Vacuuming/Polishing
• Segregation and disposal of waste correctly.
• Maintaining your area of work to the highest standard
• Cleaning interior surfaces, fixtures and fittings
• Clean floors and floor covering
• Maintain stocks of cleaning materials, order from management where required and to control the usage of materials ensuring the cleaning cupboard is kept tidy at all times.
• Report any problems on site to your line manager whilst adhering to a cleaning schedule outlined by management

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes

• Aged 18+ due to insurance and warehouse working environment
• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
• Previous industrial warehouse cleaning experience is advantageous but not essential
• Manual handling skills are required – this is a physically demanding role
• Awareness of Health & Safety practices in the workplace
• Good level of verbal and written communication skills in English
• High level of accuracy
• Fully Flexible to suit business needs (Must be able to work weekends)
• Flexible approach to work and training
• Excellent team working skills along with the ability to work independently
• Great work ethic
