As a progressive student-centred College, we are now looking for a Learning Support Practitioner to support our English and Maths department.

Details of the role

The successful candidate will support students needing extra help with maths and or/English, working effectively and confidently on a one to one basis or with small groups of young people to develop their skills and knowledge in maths and English and as part of a team to improve the levels of maths and English in students across the college.

Job Requirements

You will have relevant qualifications, for example a Level 3 classroom support qualification or a willingness to work towards and a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or willingness to work towards.

You will have experience of supporting young adults with a range or learning difficulties and/or disabilities or a willingness to undertake training, experience of Microsoft Office applications and experience of working with students with emotional/behavioural difficulties.

This role is for 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.
