A position for a Logistics Coordinator has become available at DSV Air & Sea, Aberdeen.
Main purpose of the job:
To meet customers’ requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their cargo effectively and in accordance with company operational procedures and statutory requirements including Health & Safety to the satisfaction of clients and the profit of the company.
Key Tasks
- To report to the Management team on customer KPI’s, service level agreements and financial targets.
- Expediting – Liaising with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Communicate with the warehouse regarding all aspects of the incoming and outgoing workflow
- Maintain inventory and electronic update to WMS.
- Ensure successful planning and completion of shipments through communication with client and operations department.
- Liaise with other DSV/Agent’s offices in the UK and abroad, reporting any discrepancies or specific requirements.
- Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
- Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Arrange with approved hauliers for transport of cargo, confirm availability of equipment and agree prices where no tariff exists, to maximise cost effectiveness.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers, suppliers, and other offices, as required.
- Maintain awareness of and follow HMRC regulations, where relevant, to conform to all statutory requirements.

- Forwarding or relevant trade qualification

- 2 Years of related Work Experience Manual Handling
- 4 GCSE’s or equivalent Administration Skills Hazardous Awareness Literate & Numerate Health & Safety
