Location: Location: UK (Measham, DE12 7DT)
Reports to: Head of Marketing
Contract Status: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
The Opportunity
The Medical Devices division of DCC Vital has an opportunity for a high calibre Marketing Executive with creativity and drive to work in a dynamic, fast paced and growth focussed environment. The position, based at our office in Measham, Derbyshire, UK, will require travel to our businesses in the UK, as well as some travel to Germany/Ireland and will provide exposure to senior management in each business in the division and the wider DCC Vital senior management team.
The Medical Devices division of DCC Vital recently acquired Medi-Globe Technologies GmbH (“Medi-Globe), an international medical devices Group headquartered in Germany with approximately 580 employees. The company’s products are sold in more than 120 countries through direct sales operations in Germany, France, Austria, Brazil, the Netherlands as well as an international distributors network and a manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic. Medi-Globe has revenues of approximately €120m and adds significantly to the existing division comprising of Fannin (UK) and VacSax. The transaction represents DCC Healthcare’s largest acquisition to date and supports our ambition to grow our business and to continue to expand our geographical footprint.
Fannin (UK) is both a manufacturer and supplier of own brand tissue retrieval products and a distributor of single use medical devices. The manufacturing company (Espiner) is based near Bristol, UK and our offices and warehouse are located in Measham, Derbyshire. The company’s products are sold in both the UK and international markets.
VacSax is a manufacturer and supplier of disposable suction devices used in operating theatres and hospital wards. The business is headquartered in Plymouth, UK and was acquired in 2019. The company’s products are sold in the UK market as well as an international distributors network.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
As Marketing Executive, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the financial growth of the business. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities aimed at building brand awareness, promoting the company products, and driving sales.
As a member of a wider Marketing team, your core responsibilities will revolve around improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the field sales team, primarily by taking the lead in developing and executing marketing campaigns. You will collaborate closely with the field sales team and other departments to ensure the optimal performance of our sales force and the successful implementation of impactful marketing strategies and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with Head of Marketing and Senior Management to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans, including online and offline strategies
  • Content Creation: Create engaging and persuasive content for various marketing channels, such as social media, blogs, email campaigns, and marketing collateral
  • Digital Marketing: Manage and optimize digital marketing campaigns, including PPC, SEO, email marketing, and social media advertising
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to refine our marketing approach
  • Campaign Analysis: Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, analyse data, and adjust strategies to achieve better results
  • Event Coordination: Organize and participate in events, trade shows, or webinars to promote the company’s products or services
  • Public Relations: Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with media, influencers, and industry partners
  • Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively and seek cost-efficient ways to achieve marketing goals
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on marketing performance and ROI to the marketing manager or senior management
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Marketing Executive or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms
  • Proficient in marketing software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team to meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in Medical Device Industry preferable
  • An understanding of NHS frameworks & contracts
