Do you have a keen eye for detail and take pride in your ability to build rapport with people? We are thrilled to be on the search for a temp Medical Receptionist to join a friendly team in Glasgow.
Your rate of pay and hours of work
This is a temporary position with an immediate start where you will earn £11.00 per hour which is paid on a weekly basis, with holiday pay accrued on top. For this assignment, the shift pattern are as follows:
Monday 8.30am – 3.30pm
Tuesday 8.30am – 1.00pm
Wednesday 8.30am – 6.00pm
Thursday 2.00pm – 6.00pm
Responsibilities in your new role
This is a busy role where you will be the first point of contact for patients of the practice. Some of the duties that you will be responsible for include:
- Welcoming patients upon arrival and checking them in
- Signposting patients to appropriate services
- Handling a high-volume switchboard and directing calls to relevant departments
- Dealing with incoming mail and emails
- Appointment and diary management
- Administration, filing and managing prescriptions
Your personality, experience, and qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will come from a receptionist background, preferably within a medical environment, however, this is not essential as full training will be provided. We are looking for individuals who are friendly, approachable and who have great organisational skills. You will have strong typing skills and be completely proficient in MS Office. Due to location, a driver with access to their own vehicle is preferred.
