The Role

The main responsibilities of the Buyer are as follows:

• Sourcing/purchasing raw materials
• Running end to end tenders
• Supplier Relationship Management
• Data Analysis, item set up, inventory management
• Supporting NPD working on cross functional projects

The Business

Nigel Wright Supply Chain and Procurement Team are delighted to be supporting a high volume North East Manufacturer in their search for a Buyer to join their Purchasing Team.

The Individual

This role would be suited to a confident, analytical, collaborative individual who possesses the following key skills:

• Proven track record of Purchasing/Procurement, ideally from within FMCG
• Experienced in managing suppliers of outsourced services/third party manufacturing beneficial
• Excellent attention to detail/analytical skills
• High level excel proficiency essential
• Works well under pressure, adaptable and able to prioritise/multitask
• Someone who is not afraid to challenge the status quo, able to challenge/influence stakeholders
• Experience in sustainability would be advantageous
• Experienced in supplier relationship management
• SAP system experience beneficial
