Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week, 09:30-17:45

Pay rate: Day rate £12.45 per hour

We are currently looking for hard working and highly motivated Pharmacy Support Workers to join the Pharmacy team at Royal Berkshire Hospital. This would be working in Dispensary and Pharmacy stores. We have multiple full-time vacancies for an ongoing basis with no weekend work required. Candidates must possess or be working towards NVQ Level 2 qualification.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in many aspects of the Pharmacy service, from dispensing specialised medicines to liaising with a range of different healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities include:

· Supporting with the administration of inpatient and discharge prescriptions

· Daily stock takes under supervision of the Pharmacy Technician

· Supporting with reception cover for the inpatient dispensary service

· Assisting with safe storage of medicines and ensuring adequate stock is available.

· Picking and packing medicines ahead of ward distribution and supporting with distribution

· Assisting with deliveries of new stock and ensuring these are labelled and stored away correctly.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

· NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services (evidence will need to be provided)

· Full-time availability

· Experience working in a dispensary and or stores/procurement environment (preferred)

· Customer service experience

· To be computer literate

· Strong organisational skills
