Full time Proactive Response Team Leader – Yorkshire Water
Job Description
Location: The role is based at Bradford, however there is a hybrid working arrangement in place with a minimum of three days per week on site in Bradford and two days working from home.
Work type: Permanent. Working full time 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Proactive Response Team Leader to join the Central Control function at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in:
As our Proactive Response Team Leader you will manage our proactive response capabilities within Central Control and lead the team managing our operational response, using the predictive analytics systems available in Central Control.
You will also be required to help setup the team to onboard new technologies.
Some of the key role responsibilities include the following –
- Manage and coach the team who are responsible for analysing predictive performance indicators with a view of maximising early intervention ahead of incidents being realised.
- Manage the teams working hours to their contractual requirements and Central Control expectations.
- Create a safe working environment for the colleagues to fully understand their role and impact on other teams
- Communicate progress and performance at all levels within the organisation and with external stakeholders
- Be responsible for the onboarding of new technology to grow the proactive abilities of Yorkshire Water.
- Develop, Monitor and report on a range of KPIs and targets to support the teams productivity.
- Directly engage with all levels of field operations management to build strong relationships and align approaches for support
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Have previous team leader experience balanced with analytical and creative abilities
- Be a strong leader willing to implement company policy and procedures.
- Knowledge and experience of best practice and constantly looking for new ways of working and improving
- Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships.
- Experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
- Exemplify and bring to life our core values of outstanding safety management and customer service
- Knowledge of Pollution management/impact
- Commitment to deliver challenging performance targets safely and efficiently
- Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors.
We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 3 x days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
