The Faculty of Science & Technology is looking for a highly motivated individual to be responsible for the day to day management of all administrative duties for designated academic programmes. You will be a customer focused individual who is flexible and able to manage deadlines effectively, to provide specialist knowledge and to support students, academic staff and external stakeholders.
You will need to demonstrate significant administrative experience coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational flair combined with a proactive approach is essential as is the ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team. You will have an advanced understanding of Microsoft Office, databases and spreadsheets. This is a part-time position and core hours will be required to ensure all business needs are met.
Ideally you will be educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent or have acquired relevant professional qualification, sector specific knowledge. Excellent communication skills and a highly organised approach are required.
This position and is available part-time for 25 hours per week.
This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.
