About us

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Property Management Team at Oxfordshire County Council working as a Property Officer. You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team of property professionals with a passion to deliver excellent service to our customers.

About the role

As a Property Officer, your role will involve professional activities associated with Landlord & Tenant management of the Council’s property assets to:

  • Ensure revenue is maximised through the negotiation and implementation of lease renewals, lease restructures, rent reviews etc.
  • Provide appropriate information for the maintenance of proper estate records.
  • Prepare reports and briefing papers in relation to project work and instructions to legal.
  • Provide professional advice to colleagues and others on property related matters.
  • Work as part of a team to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and liaise with internal and external council stakeholders.

About you

You’ll be qualified/newly qualified as MRICS standard with previous experience in a similar role, ideally with local authority experience. You’ll have good professional knowledge over a range of properties and be able to provide clear information and advice on property matters to colleagues and the public.

You’ll be proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.), have great communication skills to deliver reports, as well as the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects to a deadline.

Driving will be required as part of the role so you will need to have a valid UK driving licence.
