Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to join a vibrant, highly multidisciplinary academic team working across the Faculties of Health and Engineering and in collaboration with a world-leading oral healthcare industrial partner (Dentsply Sirona). Working with Dr. Ilida Ortega Asencio, Professor Nicolas Martin (School of Clinical Dentistry) and Professor Rachael Rothman (The Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures), you will conduct a robust Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study on the environmental impact of a digital fabrication workflow and associated patient care pathway compared to the conventional modalities for the provision of restorations for teeth (for example crowns, bridges, dentures, etc). The aim of this project is to help healthcare professionals, industry manufacturers and patients to make well-informed decisions for more environmentally sustainable practices.
You will join a team of motivated researchers using cutting edge manufacturing and clinical pathways and you will have the opportunity to work closely with Dentsply Sirona, a renowned industrial collaborator sponsoring this project.
You will be highly motivated, innovative and be able to work both independently and as part of a complementary team. You will have a sound knowledge within the discipline and the ability to apply it to a thriving research environment.
