Job Description
The role sits within the Retail Operations department and is to provide consistent and effective support across the retail estate and teams. To drive forward improvement whilst delivering efficient cost-effective solutions that supports the needs of the business. This is a varied role across a range of key disciplines.
The role requires adaptability and flexibility and is based in our Chelsea offices.
Across the role you will be working collaboratively and alongside the Retail HR, Operations & Property Coordinator
Retail Ops
- Own and manage all communication for the retail and customer support & service departments, ensuring accuracy and relevance
- Management of the training and knowledge-based documents available to the retail estate ensuring relevance and accuracy to ensure core knowledge is optimised
- Ensuring effective collaborative working and communication across all departments and building key relationships to ensure efficiency
- Continuous support to the Head of Retail to ensure the department is running effectively and optimised, whilst bringing clear innovative and structured thinking with a solution-orientated approach to the department and wider business
- Champion and support continuous improvement initiatives within the department and taking ownership of projects from source to rollout
- Oversee general retail sales reporting and KPI metrics ensuring accuracy to provide Area Managers & Head of Retail analytical review and identify opportunities for growth
- Support and participate in company-wide strategic projects and own these from a retail operations perspective, ensuring all elements and communication are planned and executed effectively to completion
- Ensure store compliance with all store policies and procedures and identify areas for review and revised ways of working
- Supporting the retail estate with various tasks to ensure efficiencies whilst managing costs
- Ad hoc admin tasks whilst supporting the Retail HR, Operations & Property Coordinator, Head of Retail, Area Managers and Showroom teams.
HR
- Support in the processing of payroll for the retail estate and liaising with Head of Finance, sofa.com HR and Frasers HR
- General HR administration support of the retail tools and functions, including tracking sickness, FMS management, employee references
- Assist in the preparation of employee documentation and archive management
- Supporting with recruitment for the retail estate
- Effective communication and building key relationships with Frasers HR to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Supporting with disciplinary and grievances across the retail estate
Property
- Deal with any urgent retail related property & maintenance issues in the absence of the Retail HR, Operations & Property Coordinator
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of retail requirements and operations
- Strong communication skills with both internal & external stakeholders
- Be fluent in English and have an excellent standard of written and spoken communication
- Professional, friendly, and approachable with a can-do attitude towards internal and external staff at all times
- Strong multi-tasker who enjoys working to schedules and deadlines
- Strong administration skills with a good eye for accuracy and consistency
- A motivated and proactive team player also capable of performing tasks independently and following own initiative
- Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive focus and independence to manage own workloads
- Excellent IT required with a strong knowledge of Microsoft package
This role is office based, Monday to Friday
