We are looking for a Catering Manager who will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient operation of all aspects of the catering service for approximately 330 children having a school lunch in a one and three quarter hour service slot.
This is a hands on role you will participate in the full service from preparation to full service and cleaning duties after service.
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Mon – Fri 8am – 3.30pm
Number of positions: 1
DBS Check Required: Yes
Qualifications Required: NVQ Level 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent (or working towards this qualification)
Start Date (Subject to pre employment checks): mid February 2024
Salary: £268763 to £29777 (FTE)
The ideal candidate will be well presented, organised and possess great communication skills and have a genuine passion for what you do.
We really want you to demonstrate a real passion for food and service, having worked in a similar environment at a similar level.

The role will be hands on, working with your team and having sound health and safety and food safety knowledge as well as a good understanding of GP calculations and IT literacy skills will massively help you be successful in the role.

You will plan pupil focused menus which are exciting for lunch and after school club. Ensuring that they are balanced multi-choice menus, in accordance with nutritional standards, considering the dietary needs and preferences of pupils and varied cultural and religious background.
